  • Do you offer a fitting only service?
We supply and fit carpets and flooring to customers. Unfortunately we do not offer a fitting-only service.
  • What areas do you cover?
We are based in Airdrie, but supply and fit right across Lanarkshire and Glasgow.
  • What type of flooring do you stock?
We have a huge range of flooring supplies, and you can see them in our showroom. We supply vinyl, laminate, LVT and much more - whatever flooring you need, we can help.
  • What is LVT flooring?
LVT flooring is a durable, waterproof, and versatile flooring option that mimics the appearance of natural materials like wood or stone but is made of vinyl for added resilience.
  • How is LVT different from laminate flooring?
While both are cost-effective alternatives to hardwood or tile, LVT is waterproof and typically more durable, making it better for areas prone to moisture, such as kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Is LVT flooring suitable for all areas of my home?
Yes, LVT is versatile and can be installed in virtually any room, including bathrooms, kitchens, and basements, due to its waterproof and durable nature.
  • Can I install LVT in commercial spaces?
Yes, LVT is highly durable and suitable for high-traffic commercial areas such as offices, retail spaces, and restaurants. We have worked with many businesses installing LVT for them.
  • Can I install LVT flooring myself?
Yes, many LVT products feature a click-and-lock or glue-down system designed for DIY installation. However, professional installation is recommended for the best results, and perfect finish.
  • Do I need an underlay for LVT flooring?
It depends on the type of LVT. Some come with built-in underlay, while others require a separate underlay for additional cushioning or soundproofing. Ask our team when you call.
  • How do I clean and maintain LVT flooring?
LVT is easy to maintain with regular sweeping or vacuuming and occasional damp mopping using a vinyl-safe cleaner.
  • Is LVT flooring scratch-resistant?
While LVT is highly resistant to scratches and dents, using felt pads on furniture and avoiding dragging heavy items can prevent damage.
  • How long does LVT flooring last?
With proper care, LVT flooring can last 15–20 years or more, depending on the quality of the product and the level of foot traffic.
  • Is LVT flooring waterproof?
Yes, LVT is 100% waterproof, making it ideal for areas with moisture exposure like bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Does LVT flooring feel cold underfoot?
No, LVT flooring retains heat better than traditional tiles and feels warmer underfoot, especially when paired with underfloor heating.
  • Does LVT flooring look realistic?
Yes, modern LVT uses advanced printing techniques to replicate the look of natural wood, stone, or ceramic with remarkable realism.
  • Can LVT flooring be repaired if damaged?
Individual tiles or planks can be replaced if damaged, making LVT a cost-effective and practical option for repairs, in comparison to laminate flooring.
  • What sizes and styles are available for LVT flooring?
LVT is available in a wide range of colours, patterns, and textures, including wood, stone, and abstract designs, as well as various plank and tile sizes. Call us to find out more.
  • What is laminate flooring?
Laminate flooring is a multi-layered synthetic flooring product designed to mimic the appearance of natural materials like hardwood or stone.
  • Can laminate flooring be used in all areas of my home?
Laminate is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways but may not be suitable for areas with high moisture, like bathrooms.
  • Is laminate flooring eco-friendly?
Yes, most laminate floors are made from recycled wood products and are considered an environmentally friendly option.
  • Do I need an underlay for laminate flooring?
Yes, underlay is typically required for laminate flooring to provide cushioning, soundproofing, and moisture protection.
  • How do I clean and maintain laminate flooring?
Sweep or vacuum regularly, and mop with a damp cloth using a cleaner designed for laminate flooring. Avoid excessive water or harsh chemicals.
  • Can laminate flooring be refinished?
No, laminate cannot be sanded or refinished. If damaged, individual planks may need to be replaced.
  • Is laminate flooring scratch-resistant?
Laminate is highly resistant to scratches, but using furniture pads and avoiding heavy impacts can help maintain its appearance.
  • How long does laminate flooring last?
With proper care, laminate flooring can last 10–20 years, depending on the quality and the level of foot traffic.
  • Is laminate flooring water-resistant?
Standard laminate is water-resistant but not waterproof. Some newer waterproof laminate options are available for areas prone to spills.
  • What styles and finishes are available for laminate flooring?
Laminate is available in a variety of finishes, including matte, high-gloss, and textured surfaces, as well as designs that mimic oak, maple, stone, and more.
  • Can laminate flooring be repaired if damaged?
While laminate cannot be refinished, damaged planks can be replaced individually if necessary.

Very happy with the herringbone laminate I purchased. Guy came out to measure and advised on options available. They also refunded me for the excess I did not need and underlay. Have used this company for my kitchen floor, carpets and bedrooms. Would highly recommend.

Regan came to measure my floor space, I am usually hesitant about people coming into my home. I need not have worried, as Regan has a "flair" that immediately helped me feel at ease. Regan showed a genuine desire to help keep costs reasonable, he was so friendly without being pushy. I would not hesitate to recommend Regan and the services provided by Flairplan. I am delighted with my new carpets and will continue to use Flairplan in the future.
